salilam varshaya - This kRti is stated to have been sung by Dikshitar for bringing rains to the parched lands near eTTayapuram. Immediately, the rains poured and he had to sing same kRti by changing the last line as 'stambhaya stambhaya stambhaya' in order to stop the downpour.   • The names  ‘SivA’ ‘bhavAnI’  are found in the Lalita Sahasranama

The blog is doing great service to Music lovers.It is nice that meanings are also given. I read the Meaning2 given in the link. the translation is excellent, except at one place. I thought I could make this comment:
In the samashthi charanam, " Shri Nanadana" has been translated as "Vishnu". as far as I know "Nandana" means "son". Hence I feel it should refer to Lakshmi (Shri)'s son and not her husband, Vishnu .
"Manmatha" may be more appropriate. - Acc. to mythology, shiva opened his third eye and destroyed Manmatha. Parvathi pleaded with shiva on behlaf of Rathi to resurrect him.
